In the feudal system, the king awarded land grants or fiefs to his
most important nobles, barons, and bishops, in return for their contribution of
soldiers for the king’s army.
Nobles divided their land
among the lesser nobility, who became so powerful that the kings had difficulty
controlling them.
Peasants worked hard to cultivate the land
and produce the good that the lord and his manor needed, they were also taxed
and were required to refurnished much of what they
harvested.

Basically during the middle ages, Kings did have a lot of power. However, the

Plague began by a bacteria carried on fleas. The fleas would attach to
animals, which humans come into contact with often in the Middle Ages.
Therefore, the bacteria disease spread from human to human, family to family,

the rest of Europe. The affect of the plauge was it killed up to 25 million
people, and it ended fuedalism. It ended fuedalism because it killed so many
people, good jobs were becoming avaliable, therefore making people move back
into cities.

St. Thomas Anquinas
Saint Thomas
Aquinas was a Catholic Priest in the Dominican Order and one of the most
important Medieval philosophers. He came from a noble family, therefore he was
rich. Basically his accomplishment was that he integrated into Christain
thought, just as the early church father's integrated Plato's thought in early
Christain era. He held that reason is capable of operating within faith, while
the philosephers relied soley on reason.
